Bauchi LG Elections: APC Candidate Blast PDP, BASIEC For Electoral Malpractices

All Progressives Congress (APC) Chairmanship candidate in the weekend LG elections in Shira, Bello Mu’azu Shira, has described as a sham or pretending the polls exercise in his area.

Speaking shortly after the results announcement, Bello Shira contended or argued that no election was conducted in Shira local government areas, saying it is a blatant lie to say that elections were held there.

He told the press that they have been cheated, humiliated and dejected for not conducting the elections yesterday, describing it as an act of lawlessness on the part of Bauchi State Independent Electoral Commission (BASIEC).

“We are annoyed, we are angry now, because of what happened in what was supposed to be an election. Our people have been mobilized thinking there will be elections, but nothing sort of that happened”.

Also speaking as an APC stakeholder in Shira, Hon. Kani Abubakar Faggo said, “One thing is the fact that God is always on the side of the cheated and against the cheat, we have succumbed to him and are looking out to see how he will fight for us. But the thing is that, we are presently angry with the system “

The APC stakeholder expressed gratitude to his supporters whom, he said, waited to cast their votes, only to be disappointed for having no election at all in the area.

“I want to thank our supporters and others who besiege polling stations to ensure that they voted is into elective offices. If it were to be real at this time that we are talking with you, elections will still be hold because people came out enmasse to exercise their civic responsibilities”.

Faggo told the mammoth supporters, “We are most grateful to you and appealing to you to remain calm and pacified. We are tense up, we are annoyed and so I cannot tell you precisely what steps we are going to take. By the time we calmed our tension, we will know what next to do”.
