Bauchi PDP Chieftain settles JAMB fees for 60 orphans, others

A Chieftain of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) and former aspirant for the seat of house of representatives in Bauchi state, Dr. Adamu Usman has empowered sixty Orphans, including People With Special Needs with N7000 each to enable them Registrar for the forthcoming Joint Admission and Matriculation Board (JAMB) Examination.
Dr. Usman who aspired to represent Tafawa Balewa, Bogoro and Dass federal constituency in 2023, said that the gesture was meant to assist the beneficiaries partake in the JAMB registration process with ease.
The aspirant made this known while presenting the JAMB Scholarship package to some of the selected final year secondary school students in Dass local government area on Tuesday.
Dr. Usman who described education as the bedrock for every meaningful development in the society, said the gesture will go a long way in complimenting the relentless effort of Governor Bala Mohammed towards revamping the education sector.
He said that the idea of assisting the beneficiaries is to ameliorate their sufferings in the process of getting admission to various tertiary institutions of their choices.
“I feel necessary to help them, been our future leaders, considering the present economic hardship in the country”, Dr. Usman explained.
“I donated seven thousand Naira each to sixty selected beneficiaries, especially Orphans and those with special needs from Bogoro, Dass and Tafawa-Balewa Federal Constituency to partake in the forthcoming Joint Admission and Matriculation Examination (JAMB)”, he further explained.
Dr. Usman who wished the beneficiaries best of luck in their academic pursuit, encouraged them not to panic with the happenings in the world but rather remained focus to God in prayers.
Speaking on behalf of the beneficiaries, the President Dass Students Union, Comrade Muhammad Dabo, commended Dr. Adamu Sulaiman Usman for the intervention, urging other stakeholders in the area to emulate Dr. Usman for the progress of Bauchi state.
