Bauchi Reps member Leko flags off Projects in T/Balewa, Dass LGs

The House of Representatives member for Dass, Tafawa Balewa and Bogoro federal constituency in Bauchi, Honorable Jafaru Gambo Leko has launched a series of developmental projects to the benefit of his constituents.

The Lawmaker on October 1, 2024, flagged off the Billyaminu Othman Multipurpose Hall in Dass local government area, equipped with an ICT center.

He also announced plans to establish a Farm Center in Dass Local Government Area.

Speaking during the flagging off programmes, Leko said the initiative is part of his campaign promises and empowerment programs for the constituents.

He said the ICT Center which is in partnership with Nigeria Communication Commission (NCC), has over 40 computers and accessories that would train 200 youth every year on business skills.

Hon. Leko distributed mattresses and hospital equipment to general hospitals in Bununu, Bogoro, Dass and Tafawa Balewa, said it is meant to ensure improved healthcare services.

Honourable Leko also conducted a three-day medical outreach program and eye surgery to over 100 constituents and provided over 3,000 medical glasses to patients in the three general hospitals.

The Lawmaker who additionally flagged off the foundation laying ceremony for six blocks of classrooms in Bununu also distributed 1,000 bags of potassium fertilizer to Fulani herders in Sabon Garin Gital village, Tafawa Balewa Local Government Area to promote agricultural productivity.

Also speaking, Alhaji Hassan Tilde , Chairman All Progressive Congress (APC) Bauchi State Chapter, said Jafaru Leko’s efforts aligns with his campaign promises, focusing on education, healthcare, and economic empowerment.

“This series of projects underscores Leko’s commitment to fostering sustainable development in Bauchi State,” he said.

Constituent, Malam Sani Boto , appreciated Leko’s empowerment programmes for the constituency, pledging continued loyalty to the lawmaker.
