Bauchi Speaker Congratulates Mohammed Over Wins Best Governor Award On Urban Renewal

The Honorable Speaker, Rt. Hon. Dr. Abubakar Y. Sulaiman and members of the Bauchi State House of Assembly have congratulated the state governor Bala A. Mohammed for winning national award for ‘Urban Renewal’.
The award was conferred on him at the Nigeria Excellence Awards in Public Service organized by The Best Strategic (TBS) media in collaboration with Office of the Secretary to the Government of the Federation on Saturday presented to him by vice president Kashim Shettima other awardees in Villa Abuja.
Abubakar said the commitment of Governor Bala Mohammed’s administration in making Bauchi State epicenter of tourism, developments and economic hub have not only made people proud but redeemed its lost glories.
According to the speaker many places that were inaccessible before are now being accessed comfortably as linkable, tarred roads and drainages were constructed which boosted incomes of the residents.
A statement issued by his media Mukhtar Garba Kobi and made available to journalists in Bauchi on Saturday, said, “Projects executed by the present administration in the state metamorphosed dilapidated areas into the most attractive not only to Bauchi indigenes but also those from neighboring states.
“Democratic dividends are provided to all irrespective of religious, ethnic or zonal differences, making life better is a top priority of Governor Bala as he ensures equal provision to all the 20 Local government areas of the state,” Speaker said.
The Honorable Speaker revealed that “The ongoing construction of flyovers in Wunti and Central Market axis of the State capital when completed will lessen difficulties by road users.
“Governor Bala Mohammed deserved the ‘Urban Renewal’ award as people from all States of the Federation troop Bauchi daily just to watch and snap pictures at the newly commissioned Government House. The Bauchi official executive building is now amongst the best in the whole country. Governor Bala in just past five years in office touched many lives, improved living standard of the masses and recorded successes in all sectors; his name will never be forgotten,” the Speaker reiterated.
Abubakar added that the legislative chamber will continue to support and ensure that all people-favoured bills forward before the honorable members will receive the consideration they deserve.
“The respectable, collaborative and mutual relationship between the executive and legislative arms in Bauchi State will lead to building legacies for many generations,” he concluded.
