Cheap Publicity Seekers Should Leave Peter Obi Alone- Northern Group

Declaring the Indegenous People of Biafra IPOB as terrorist has nothing to do with the peace loving Presidential Candidate of the Labour Party, Mr. Peter Obi as It is purely a Court of competence jurisdiction’s affair. National Co-ordinator Peter Obi/Yusuf Datti Baba Ahmed Northern Ambassadors worldwide, (PONA) Malam Sani Muhammad Sani has revealed Wednesday.

The most talked about staunch Presidential candidate of the Labour Party according to Mr. Sani don’t have to declare IPOB as terrorists before he could ganner votes from the North as insinuated by an APC chieftain Adamu Garba.

Adamu Garba, a former Presidential aspirant of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) according to some National dailies twitted that “the Labour Party presidential flag bearer Peter Obi, may not categorically call IPOB a terrorists group because he fears doing so might work against him in respect of the 2023 election.”

Peter Obi according to PONA National Co-ordinator has no business doing so stressing that the LP presidential hopeful will not be distracted by nonentities with such primitive approach of the likes of Adamu Garba who resorts to slanders against law abiding candidates with spurious and speculative stories to get cheap attention and recognition.

Mr. Sani said Adamu Garba was said to have partaking in the presidential contest of the APC but nothing was known about him noting that Peter Obi will get unprecedented number of votes from Northerners as the region’s quest is for those politicians of Mr. Peter Obi and Yusuf Datti Baba Ahmed Calibre who have the zeal inside them to promote unity, progress, development and security of lives and property of country.

Mr. Sani said the likes of Adamu Garba and his APC should allow Peter Obi to focus and plan on how to correct the rot and corruption perpetrated by the APC couple with hardship the party unleash on Nigerians when elected in 2023 reiterating that PONA is confident that Peter Obi will deliver the North and the core North without sweat.

“Obi has solid foundation in the North with associations, individuals and group turning around their focus towards pitching tent with His Excellency Peter Obi.” The National Co-ordinator said.

He call on the likes of Adamu Garba to shun ethnojingoism, religious bigotism and seek other channels of getting cheap publicity instead of attacking Peter Obi to achieve so.
