Dambam LG Chairman engages stakeholders on 2025 budget

Dambam Local Government area of Bauchi state has conducted budget consultation for the 2025 physical year with stakeholders on Monday.

Speaking at the Dambam conference hall, the Executive Chairman of the local government, Hon Yakubu Garba Tela, said that the aim was to get the input of stakeholders with a view to having an implementable budget for the year 2025.

The meeting had the District Heads of Dambam Alh Idris  Bappah Musa sulaiman  Dagauda, Jalam and all party chairmen across various wards of the local government in attendance.

Also in attendance, were key stakeholders of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) in Dambam local government area.

The Local Government chairman briefed the meeting on how he intend to peg the budget in such a way that will bring development to the local government and also have positive impact in the lives of the people of Dambam.

During the stakeholders’ engagement, traditional, religious and party leaders across the local government were given the opportunity to give their input relating to how they want the budget to affect them and the rest of the citizens.

The Executive chairman said that the stakeholders engagement became necessary, considering the importance of budget in the lives of the people.

Speaking to our Correspondent after the meeting, a key stakeholder said such engagement is one of its kind in the history of Dambam local government area.

“Since the creation of Dambam local government area, no Chairman has ever created this kind of avenue for the stakeholders to have a say in the budget proposal of the LG in order to give equal opportunity to the people”, he said.

While commending the local government chairman for the initiative, the stakeholder described the executive Chairman as a blessing to the local government and the PDP as a party.

He called on the people of Dambam to continue to support the good initiatives of the Chairman and that of Governor Bala Mohammed in their untiring efforts toward provision of good governance.
