Dr Mahdi and Hajiya Alawiyya Abubakar Abba conferred on with the titles of Zanna and Hasken Matan Girei

The district head of Girei on the qpproval of the Lamido of Adamawa has appointed Dr Mahdi A. Abba and Hajiya Alawiya A. Abba as Zanna of Girei and Hasken Mata Girei respectively.

The approvals were contained in separate letters addressed to the newly appointed traditional title holders signed by the District Head of Girei who doubles as the Ubandoma of Adamawa, Dr. Ahmad Ibrahim Musdafa and made available to Baushe Daily Times yesterday.

According to the letters, their appointment followed a consensus reached by the emirate council after deliberations.
Parts of the letter reads:

“I am delighted to inform you that His Royal Highness, the Lamido of Adamawa and his council have approved your appointment as the Hasken Mata of Girei”

“It is on this note that I am confirming you as the Hasken Mata of Girei”, the letter addressed to Hajiya Alawiyya further stated.

The two separate letters added that the appointments of the duo to the traditional title of Zanna of Girei and Hasken Mata Girei respectively were based on merit and their track records of achievements.

The letter wished them well and prayed to Allah to guide them in the discharge of their responsibilities.
