Eid-el-Kabir: Hon Usman urges Muslims to intensify prayers for peace

Adamu Usman has called on the Muslim faithfuls in Nigeria and beyond to intensify prayers for peaceful co-existence as they celebrate this year’s Eid-el Kabir.
Hon Usman who is also an expert in economy made the call in his Sallah Goodwill message on Saturday.
He enjoined the Muslim Ummah to dedicate this year’s Sallah season to prayers for peace and unity to be attained in the country.
Hon Usman who is from Bogoro, Dass and Tafawa Balewa federal constituency noted that the war against insurgency was more spiritual than physical which he opined, could only be won through fervent prayers, tolerance, obedience and respect for constituted authority for the collective advancement of the country.
The PDP stalwart while congratulating the entire Muslims for witnessing yet another Eid-el kabir celebration, stressed the need for peace for the continued existence of Nigeria as a united entity regardless of the country’s religious ideologies.
While commenting on the current situation in the country, Hon Usman urged all Nigerians to be patriotic and put the interest of the country above parochial interests.
“Nigerians need to live above parochial interest so we can march on as one indivisible nation despite our religious differences”, he said.
Hon Usman further noted that Nigeria need to explore the strength of its diversity and launch herself into a leading economic player both in Africa and in the world.
He called on Nigerians to imbibe religious tolerance among various faiths in the country, stressing that, it was not by accident that God allowed Nigeria to stay as one country regardless of the country’s diversity.
Hon Usman pointed out that all hands must be on deck to overcome insecurity, unemployment and hunger in the nation.
He commended the effort of the state Governor, Senator Bala Muhammed for executing laudable projects that have direct access to common man, urging the governor to maintain the tempo.
Hon Usman advised youths in the state to take the advantage of the ongoing voters registration exercise to obtain their PVCs ahead of the 2023 General election.
Hon. Usman, also wished all Nigerians happy Eid-el Kabir celebrations.
While commenting on the issues of unemployment in the country, among Nigerian youths, Hon. Adamu avverred that the situation requires ideas through Agriculture and other local businesses as a way out for the country.
He noted that for government to guarantee the future of the youths, especially in his constituency Bogoro, Dass and Tafawa Balewa, more empowerment programmes need to be evolved towards reawakening their consciousness in nation building.
