Emir Of Kano, Qadiriyya Leader, PDP NWC Condoles Gov Bala Over Step Mother’s Death

The Emir of Kano, Muhammadu Sanusi II, on Sunday has extended his heartfelt condolences to Governor Bala Abdulkadir Mohammed over the passing of his stepmother, Hajiya Hauwa Mohammed Duguri, who passed away at the remarkable age of about 120 years.

The Emir, accompanied by a delegation of distinguished personalities and traditional titleholders from the Kano Emirate, visited the governor to offer their sympathies. During the visit, Emir Sanusi prayed for the soul of the late Hajiya Hauwa, asking Allah to grant her Aljannatul Firdaus. 

Speaking, the Emir commended Governor Bala Mohammed for his numerous developmental initiatives in Bauchi State, praying for continued guidance and protection for the governor.

Likewise, Sheikh AbdulKadir Karibulla Nasiru Kabara, the spiritual leader of the Qadiriyya sect in Africa, paid a condolence visit to the governor.

The renowned Islamic scholar acknowledged that death is inevitable but noted that the late Hajiya Hauwa lived a life that positively impacted many. 

Sheikh Kabara offered special prayers for her soul to rest in Aljanatul Firdaus and prayed for the family to find the strength to bear the loss.

The Bauchi State Governor on Saturday received the Governor of Plateau State, Caleb Muftwang, who paid a condolence visit over the recent demise of the governor’s stepmother.  

In a separate visit, Senator Bala also received Barden Gabas, the deputy governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the 2023 elections in Bauchi State, who came to express his condolences.  

Furthermore, religious leaders and representatives of Civil Society Organizations (CSOs) also visited Mohammed to offer their sympathies and prayers during this period.  

In another development, the National Working Committee (NWC) of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) paid a condolence visit to Governor Bala Mohammed of Bauchi State weekend following the demise of his stepmother, Hajiya Hauwa,

Ibrahim Yayari, speaking on behalf of the delegation, extended their deep sympathies and prayers to the governor and his family. 

The NWC commended the late Hajiya Hauwa for her long, impactful life, characterized by wisdom and guidance.

During the visit, the NWC also reaffirmed their confidence in the leadership of the newly appointed PDP National Secretary, Udeh Okoye. 

Governor Bala Mohammed expressed his deep appreciation to all visitors for their solidarity and prayers, emphasising the importance of unity and support during trying times.

Mohammed used the opportunity and called on religious leaders to continue praying for the nation’s leaders and the country’s peace and development.
