Ex-Kaduna Gov Makarfi Commends Bauchi Governor’s fairness in governance

Former Governor of Kasuna State, Senator Ahmed Makarfi has commended Governor Bala Mohammed of Bauchi state for his fairness in governance despite multi-religious and multi-ethnic dimensions of the state.

Senator Makarfi made the commendation when Governor Mohammed received Christian faithfuls led by the Chairman of CAN, Rev. Abraham Damina on a Christmas homage at the government house recently.

Senator Makarfi who observed that Governor Bala Mohammed performance cut across all facet of life to the overall benefit of the citizens, pointed out that Bauchi, Kaduna and some other states are like mini Nigeria due to their multi religious and multi ethnic dimensions.

According to him, Governor Bala Mohammed has been able to despite the diversity of the people of Bauchi state, executed meaningful and developmental projects across nooks and crannies of the state.

He expressed appreciation to the Governor for carrying all the people along as attested to by many who spoke at the event regardless of the multidimensional composition of the state.

“Bauchi, like Kaduna, is multi-religious, multi-ethnic, there are elites and business people and many other complexity that makes governance difficult, but Governor Mohammed has been able to navigate successfully since inception of his administration in 2019 by carrying everybody along, just like the people are testifying here”, the former Kaduna Governor said.

“I also came across a number of people outside Bauchi who have given very positive testimonies on your governance, on your fairness, just and equitable governance in all facets of life”, he added.

Makarfi said that the People’s Democratic Party PDP is fully aware of what Governor Bala Mohammed has doing for the betterment of the party, adding Governor Mohammed has been contributing to the success of the PDP even before he became the chairman of the party’s Governors Forum.

“We in the PDP know the enormous efforts you have been putting to ensure unity, reconciliation and focus in the Party which is a critical issue ahead the 2027”, Senator Makarfi further explained.

While expressing optimisms that the PDP will succeed in 2027, Makarfi noted that no amount of internal despute can defy solution through discussions and negotiations.

“We know that you are very good in that, we have worked together before, we have produced results together before and I believe working all together will produce good results for the PDP which is good for Nigeria and for everybody”, he stated.

The former Kaduna Governor who appreciated the christian Community for paying homage to Governor Bala Mohammed at the government house, described the gesture as a very important one.

“The Bauchi state Chapter Chairman of the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) and others have prayed and I also pray that God will answer our prayers”, he said.

While speaking, Governor Bala Mohammed who thanked the Christians for supporting his administration all the time, commended the former Kaduna Governor for living indelible mark in the governance of Kaduna state.

Governor Mohammed who decried the current economic hardship bedeviling the citizens, called on the federal government under President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to always listen to the plights of Nigerians.
