FG’s 50 % electricity tariff reduction for Hospitals will ensure affordable clinical services – Dr. Dachi

The Chief Medical Director of the newly established Federal Medical Centre Misau, Bauchi state, Dr Rufai Abdul Dachi has commended President Bola Ahmed Tinubu led federal government for reducing electricity tariff for public hospitals by 50 percent.

Dr Rufai Dachi who spoke to our Correspondent yesterday, observed that the new development will no doubt go a long way in ensuring the provision of effective and affordable clinical services to the citizens across the country.

The CMD Dr. Dachi who appreciated the effort of federal government towards that direction added that, it will assist hospitals, most especially the ones established newly such as the Federal Medical Centre (FMC) Misau.

He further observed that the electricity tariff reduction is going to reduce the high costs of running hospitals and create opportunity to the management of the centres to bring more developments to other units of the hospitals.

Dr. Dachi also commended the minister of health and social welfare, Professor Muhammad Ali Pate CON (Chigarin Misau) for ensuring that the health sector contribute positively to humanity.

The CMD further appreciated the gesture of president Bola Ahmed Tinubu for approving the establishment of federal medical centre Misau.

According to him, the presence of the federal tertiary health institution in Misau, Bauchi state will afford the citizens, particularly the common man, the opportunity to benefit from the healthcare services of the federal hospital at the grassroot.

Dr. Dachi assured that the federal medical center Misau under his leadership will work in line with the President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s renewed hope agenda.

It can be recall that the state minister of health and social welfare, Dr Tunji Alausa had announced on Thursday that the federal Government has approved 50 percent electricity subsidy for public hospitals across the country.

Dr. Alausa had also said in the statement that the federal Government is considerate of the high costs of running the federal tertiary hospitals across the country.
