FTH Gombe CMD griefs with UMTH, Maiduguri people over Borno deadly flood

The management of Federal Teaching Hospital Gombe (FTHG) has expressed sympathy to the management of University of Maiduguri Teaching Hospital (UMTH) under the leadership of Prof Ahmed Ahidjo over the recent devastating flood in the state.

Chief Medical Director (CMD) of FTHG Dr Yusuf Mohammed Abdullahi who stated in a press statement on behalf of the management and staff on Saturday, grieved with the victims of the flood over the lost of human lives and properties worth billions of Naira.

The CMD prayed Almighty Allah subahanahu wataala to provide the victims with whatever they need to live a normal life, as well as forgive the shortcomings of those that lost their lives.

He also called on the federal government, international donors and stakeholders from northern Nigeria and Nigerians to save the University of Maiduguri Teaching Hospital, the number one tertiary hospital in West Africa from this present predicament following the flood disaster.

The FTHG CMD also appreciated the efforts of the Coordinating Minister of Health and Social Welfare, Professor Muhammad Ali Pate for visiting the facility and the victims, including the Shehu of Borno, Alh Abubakar Shehu Umar at his palace.

Dr. Abdullahi commended the Minister who took his time to inspect the community affected by the flood and see for himself the damage done by the heavy flood.

The CMD prayed to almighty Allah to replace what UMTH and the people of Maiduguri lost as a result of the flood disaster.
