GGW trains over 100 Bauchi Women, Youth in different skills

The National Agency for Great Green Wall has trained no fewer than 100 Bauchi women and Youth in different skills to enable them become self reliant.
The Field Officer of the agency in Bauchi, Hajiya Hadiza Muhammad who stated this during the empowerment exercise Saturday,noted that the gesture was to address the hardship being faced by communities with environmental related problems.
Hajiya Hadiza disclosed that the participants mostly in rural areas were given livestock under its Small Ruminants Farming programme.
According to her, other participants trained on tailoring were also given starter packs to improve their living conditions.
Some of the participants interviewed, Auwalu Shehu Tatije from Katagum Local Government and Fatima Muhammad from Dass Local Government, thanked the agency for the kind gesture and promised to use the packs to improve their living standard.
Items distributed include, Sewing machines, livestock among others.
