Gov Bala Flags-off N10.3b road dualization project in Ningi LG

Bala Mohammed, the Governor of Bauchi state has on Sunday, flagged-off the construction of 11-kilometer dual road project for Ningi-Gudduba in Ningi Local Government Area of the state.

The Governor while speaking during the flag off ceremony of the N10.3 billion project reiterated the commitment of his administration towards prioritizing road development.

According to Bala Mohammed noted that other forms of development in the state also hinges on road Networks.

The Governor added that the contract will be executed through the direct contract award to the Mothercat Nigeria Limited which will be jointly supervised by a team of engineers from the State Ministry of works and transport and Federal Ministry of works.

He added that his administration has already received the approval of the federal government for the construction of the road.

The Governor described roads as very important component of economic activities not only in the developed world, but also in developing countries, stressing that it facilitates access to employment, education and opportunities for all other productive activities.

The Governor said that Ningi emirate and the central zone have been deprived by previous administrations of good road networks, pointing out that his administration is correcting the anomalies in terms of creating engagements, inclusivity and respect for the yearnings and aspirations of every sector of the state.

The Governor also said that the road project is a reciprocation of what the people of Ningi have done to the present administration in the state, assuring that more projects would be done for the people of the area.

“The project, like other numerous ones embarked upon by this administration were conceived as a fulfillment of our campaign promises to provide essential infrastructures in order to ameliorate the transportation difficulties of our people who faces serious challenges to transport their agricultural produce to the markets”, he said.

The Governor added: “By and large, It is expected that in the course of the construction, the project will create direct jobs to engineers, labourers, artisans and indirectly to food vendors, suppliers, transporters and many others in the construction value chain”.

Bala said that the road project when completed, will significantly transform the lives of thousands of residents of the state.

Earlier speaking, the Emir of Ningi Alhaji Yunusa Muhammadu Danyaya who commended the Governor for considering the long awaited project within his domain described the project as timely.
