Gov Mohammed moves to salvage Yankari Game Reserve, Zaranda Hotels

Bauchi state Governor, Senator Bala Mohammed has vowed to reposition the Yankari Game Reserve and the state-owned, famous Zaranda Hotel and make them fully functional.

The Governor who made this known during his recent inspection of the ongoing rehabilitation at Yankari Games Reserve, reiterated his commitment to enhancing the Reserve and Zaranda Hotels in order to develop human resources.

The Governor posted in his Facebook page recently, said that the effort will make Bauchi’s cultural amenities more appealing.

“During my recent inspection of the ongoing rehabilitation at Yankari Games Reserve, I praised former Governor Alhaji Ahmed Adamu Muazu for his foresight in revitalizing the reserve”, he said.

Bala Mohammed further assured the public that his administration will enhance the security of the entire area and protect the rights of the species within the reserve.

“I attributed the reserve’s decline to insufficient attention and oversight, as well as the negligence of previous administrations”, he noted.

The Governor who issued a stern warning to intruders and those who harm the animals, said Ruben Okoya of Architect Tronix has assured him of the project’s quality.

Governor Mohammed added that he has also been assured upon completion, Yankari will be able to compete with its global counterparts.
