Imam Abubakar emerges LAWSAN President

The Law Students Association of Nigeria (LAWSAN), A.D Rufa’i College of Education, Legal and General Studies Misau has elected Adamu Imam Abubakar as its President.

A press release made available to our Correspondent by the Election Committee of the LAWSAN stated that the election was conducted free, fair and peaceful.

According to the press release, the outcome of the election had Ibrahim Muhammad Maina as Secretary General while Karen Bako Nuhu and Maimunatu Basheer Saleh emerged as Senate President and Treasurer respectively.

It said, other leadership positions of the Association also emerged as captured in the results sheet.

“Law Students Association of Nigeria (LAWSAN), A.D. Rufa’i College of Education, Legal & General Studies Misau released the results of free and fair election for it’s 2023/2024 Executive and Legislative officials”, the press release said.

“The election, which was conducted on Saturday the 5th of October, 2024 at the COEASU Secretariat of the College was attested to be one of the most peaceful, transparent, free and fair one in recent times”, it added.

The press release further informed that the election was moderated by the students’ ELCOM Chairman under the closest supervision and assessment by Babangida Malum (the Counselor of the College), Comrd Sani Shehu and a host of other lecturers and students’ representatives alongside the College security operatives.

“Students’ manifestos, vocality, present ability and correctness of answers to legal questions asked from those rated highest were the considered determinants for success in the election”, the press release added.
