Journalism Loses a great milestone as BBC Correspondent Shehu Saulawa is no more

With total submission to the will of Allah we received the announcement of the death of former BBC Correspondent and a Lecturer in the department of Mass communication, Abubakar Tatari Ali Polytechnic Bauchi, Malam Shehu Saulawa who passed on after a protracted illness in Buachi state.
His demise is coming barely two days after the 2023 presidential and National house of Assembly Elections.
Before his death Shehu Saulawa was former Correspondent with British Broadcasting Commission (BBC), former Reporter at Radio France International (RFI) among other international media organizations.
Saulawa who hails from Katsina state, however was a member with Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ) Bauchi State Council, As well as Lecturer with the Department of Mass Communication Of Abubakar Tatari Ali polytechnic Bauchi.
The famous veteran Journalist is well known as a a very kind, friendly and jovial to not only his colleagues in the institution but also to the entire students in the polytechnic.
His demise indeed left a great vacuum in Journalism and especially in the Department of Mass Communication ATAP. We pray Almighty Allah to forgive his shortcomings, grant him jannatul firdaus and his family, Friends the polytechnic and students fortitude to bear the irreparable lost.
His funeral prayer took place on Tuesday 28th of February, 2023 at Gwallaga Jumaat mosque, in Bauchi at 1:00pm may his soul rest in perfect peace Amen
