NEDC MD, Emir Of Bauchi Bags NIPR Merit Award In Bauchi

The North East Development Commission (NEDC) has assured that it would continue to partner with the Nigerian Institute of Public Relations (NIPR) for the benefits of both parties and the socioeconomic and infrastructural development of the subregion and the country at large.
The managing director/CEO of the Commission, Alh. Mohammed G. Alkali made the assurance on Thursday while receiving the Award of Excellence bestowed on him by the Bauchi State Chapter of NIPR following the commission’s revolutionary role it has been playing in the subregion to propel development in all nooks and crannies.
Alkali, who was represented by NEDC’s Head of Corporate Services, Mallam Abba Musa at the annual general meeting/conference of the Nigerian Institute of Public Relations, Bauchi state chapter, said that he dedicated the Award to the people of the North East Sub-region, further assured of strong partnership with the institute at both Bauchi state and national levels.
Also the Nigerian Institute of Public Relations has decorated the Emir of Bauchi Alh. Dr. Rilwanu Sulaiman Adamu as Honorary Fellow Bauchi for the fatherly and advisory roles he has been playing with the commission, with the hope that the tempo would not only be maintained, but also improved upon.
The NIPR’s Honorary Fellowship is the highest honour reserved for individuals who have used their fields of endeavour to make significant contributions to the advancement of the Public Relations profession in Nigeria and beyond.
Also speaking, Governor Bala Abdulkadir Mohammed observed that the Nigerian Institute of Public Relations (NIPR) has not only consolidated its position as the premier body for the practice of public relations in Nigeria, but has also taken giant strides in projecting a positive image for the country to the outside World.
The Governor who was represented by the State Secretary to the Government, Barrister Ibrahim Kassim Mohammed, observed that the Institute has not only consolidated itself as the premier body for public relations practice in Nigeria, but has also made giant strides in projecting of the country to the outside World.
Senator Bala Mohammed noted that the institute has through its various programmes, advocacy efforts and professional engagements, contributed significantly in enhancing Nigerian reputation and expelling negative stereotypes, and showcasing the rich cultural diversity in entrepreneurship spirit to Nigerian people.
