PDP candidate Hon Tela wins Dambam local Government Chairmanship election

The Bauchi state Independent Electoral Commission (BASIEC) has declared the candidate of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), Hon Yakubu Garba Tela as winner of the Saturday local government elections conducted in Dambam local government area of Bauchi state.

The Dambam LG returning Officer made this known in Dambam local government area yesterday, noted that Hon Tela scored Twenty one thousand, seven hundred and thirty six (21,736) votes.

According to him, the candidate of the opposition APC polled five thousand
Two hundred fifty six (5,256) votes.

Meanwhile, the member, House of Assembly member for Dambam in the Bauchi state assembly, Hon Garba has congratulated Hon Tela on his local government election victory.

The assembly member also appreciated the conduct of good people of Dambam local government during the election which he described as free and fair.

Governor Bala Mohammed of the state has applauded the BASIEC for conducting the election in the state.

In his comment, the LG Chairman -elect Hon Yakubu Garba Tela thanked almighty Allah for accepting his prayers and the victory.

He also appreciated the support and effort of the people of Dambam local Government who voted for him during election.

The Chairman-elect also assured the people of Dambam that in sha’Allah he will deliver and bring dividends of democracy to the local Government.
