PDP Chair’ship candidate for Misau pledges to address 7 challenges in Akuyam

Few days to the conduct of Local Government elections in Bauchi state, the Chairmanship candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Hon Salisu Hussain Hardawa has promised to address seven challenges bedeviling the people of Akuyam ward if voted into power.
Hardawa while speaking at a campaign rally in Akuyam town of Misau on Tuesday, pledged to ensure the fencing of Akuyam Graveyard, New motor park and expanding of Akuyam central market.
The Chairmanship candidate who further pledged to ensure that job opportunity is created for the youth of Akuyam, said he will also work to ensure the reconnection of Akuyam with Jed (NEPA) as well as repair some portholes along Sade to Akuyam road.
The commencement of the campaign by the PDP candidate is coming after the Bauchi state Independent Electoral Commission (BASIEC) scheduled the conduct of the local Government election in the state to hold on 17 August, 2024.
The Local government chapter of the PDP under the Chairmanship of Hon Abdu Haruna kick-started the campaign in Misau local Government after the flag off at zadawa town on Monday.
Our Correspondent reports that the campaign train of PDP visited Beti, Sarma and Akuyam and Ajili ward, with thousands of party members.
The campaign team visited the village head of Sarma , Alh Samaila Aliyu to pay homage who prayed for a successful campaign and a hitch free local council elections.
The campaign team also visited the District Head of Akuyam, Alhaji iliyasu Aliyu at his palace during which he appealed to the team to carryout their campaign with orderliness .
He also recalled that the PDP candidate, Hon Salisu Hussain Hardawa had during his tenure as caretaker chairman in Misau local Government, recorded tremendous development.
“He brought development to so many sectors such as education, Health, works and social welfare”, he said .
The district head also expressed believe that if elected, the PDP candidate will perform more by consolidating on his past achievements.
In his remarks, the local government PDP candidate, Hon Salisu Hussain Hardawa promised to if voted, work tirelessly to attend to their demands.
“You know that Akuyam is my second home, I assure you that I will attend to all your demands in my first year in office”, he said.
The campaign team include Alh Yarima Mohammed (Sa’in Misau), Hon Baidu Liman, Hon Umar Baba, Hon Lele Suleiman , Alh Ahmed Babayo (katukan Misau), Alh Babayo Akuyam and Hajiya Altine among others.
