Projects: Gombe Assembly Speaker Applauds Governor Inuwa’s Inclusive Governance
The Speaker of Gombe State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Abubakar Mohammed Luggerewo has applauded Governor Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya’s inclusive governance, describing his leadership style as unique and people-oriented.
The Spaeker made this assertion while briefing news men shortly after State Executive Council approved six road projects across different constituencies in Gombe State, including the 17 KM road that starts from Tashan Magarya in Kumo and passes through Lamba, Zange, Bappah Ibrahima, luggerewo, Jauro Bello, Papa and links with Pindiga Road.
The road as explained by the speaker, was in bad condition and caused untold hardships to the people, especially during rainy season.
“This is the road project that I have been pursuing for quite long and it is heartwarming that His Excellency has granted the approval of its construction”, he said.
Hon. Luggerewo thanked Governor Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya for attending to the needs of their constituents, describing all the approved projects as true reflection of people’s demands.
“Let me reiterate at this point that all the approvals given in this very important council meeting are in line with demands of the people from our various constituencies put foward through the representatives and I am glad to have one in my constituency. This is part of the dividends of harmonious working relationship between the executive and the legislature”.
The speaker also commended the signing of memorandum of understanding between Gombe State Government and Lincoln University College of Malaysia, saying that it will contibute immensely towards human capital development especially in his constituency.
“That building has been there lying idle, but now Alhamdulillah it will be put into proper use. Our younger ones are goint to occupy the building for their academic persuit”, he remarked.
Hon Luggerewo pledged continued support of the legislatrors to the Governor.
“We are going to accord His Excellency all the necessary support and cooperation to make sure that he delivers on the mandate of the people”, he assured.
The Speaker also noted that security, education and other critical sectors have all received needed attention from the Governor.
He called on his constituents and all other people in other constituencies who will benefit from the approved projects to reciprocate the good gesture of Governor Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya come 2023.
