Protest: Bauchi Gov Relaxes Curfew 6pm To 6am In Katagum LG

The Bauchi state governor, Bala A. Mohammed has relaxed the curfew  imposed on Katagum local government area following the deteriorating security situation during #EndBadGovernance protest in Azare.

The government relaxed the curfew from 24-hours to 12-hours (6pm to 6am daily). 

Barrister Ibrahim Muhammad Kashim, Secretary to the State Government (SSG) announced this development on Tuesday night, saying the government after a careful review in conjunction with security agencies, has observed that sanity is gradually returning to the area.

Recall that a 24-Hour curfew was imposed in Katagum Local Government Area which was due to the deteriorating security situation in the Local Government on Monday during the protest. 

Kashim said, “It is against this backdrop that His Excellency Sen. Bala Abdulkadir Mohammed, CON the Executive Governor of Bauchi State has approved the relaxing of the curfew from 24-Hours to 12-Hours (6pm to 6am daily).” 

The Governor also called on law-abiding citizens to continue to cooperate with security agencies.
