Troops rescue seven kidnapped victims in Kaduna.

The Kaduna state Commissioner for internal security and home affairs, Mr Samuel Aruwan has disclosed that seven people kidnapped by bandits in Chikun local government area of the state have been rescued.
The Commissioner who made the disclosure to newsmen on Tuesday said the victims were kidnapped when the bandits invaded Unguwan Garma located in the Maraban Rido general area of the local government.
It was gathered that the distress call was received from the area and security personnel’s responded and engaged the bandits.
Mr Aruwan said the superior firepower of the troops forced the criminals to flee.
He also explained that the security forces exploited the withdrawal route of the criminals which made it possible for them to rescue the seven kidnapped people.
The Commissioner also noted that all the kidnapped victims have been reunited with their respective families.
In another development, the Governor of the state, Malam Nasir El-Rufa’i has commended the security forces for their efforts and swift response to the distress call.
