TUGAR Agrees to Support CMPA on Anticorruption Project

The Technical Unit on Governance and Anti corruption Reforms (TUGAR) has expressed its readiness to support the Center for Media, Policy and Accountability in its efforts to implement Nigeria Anti corruption Performance Public Reporting (NAPRR) 2023 project which is an anti corruption project funded by MacArthur Foundation and implemented by CMPA.

This is contained in a Press Release signed by the CMPA’s Director of Communication, Outreach and Advocacy, Ibrahim Uba Yusuf on 15th April,2023 and made available to newsmen in Abuja.

The Project Manager of the NAPPR, Dr. Sulaiman Amu Suleiman said the project was aimed at conducting research on anti corruption, advocacy, public engagement and capacity development of Nigeria anti corruption agencies and organisations that included EFCC, ICPC, CCB, CSOs and media on NAPRR project. He said at the end of the project, CMPA will publish the first edition of harmonized anti- corruption performance Reporting for 2017-2022.

The Press Release further quoted the manager that the implementation of the project CMPA should identify gaps in the perception of citizen on roles of anti-Corruption agencies in the fight against corruption, confidentiality among Government and members of the public.

The letter added that the project has different components that include Research, Advocacy and Roundtable and Meeting with different stakeholders that are involved in the anticorruption activities in the country.
