We’re with you, Muslims Group backs Gov Mohammed’s move to actualize Sayawa Chiefdom in Tafawa Balewa

Bauchi state Governor Bala Mohammed has received the full backing of a Muslims Group known as Zaar Muslims Association (ZARMA) on his recent pronouncement about his administration’s resolve to create Sayawa Chiefdom with headquarters in Tafawa Balewa town.

Briefing newsmen at Fadaman Mada Community in Bauchi town, the Chairman of the Zaar Muslims Association (ZARMA), Alhaji Dauda Aliyu said that to the recent pronouncement of Governor Bala Mohammed regarding the establishment of the Sayawa Chiefdom is in good faith.

In a text of address title “Re:Creation of Sayawa Chiefdom with headquarters in Tafawa Balewa”, ZARMA Chairman who was represented by Alhaji Sulaiman Danladi Mado, appreciated Governor Mohammed for his administration’s resolve to create Sayawa Chiefdom with headquarters in Tafawa Balewa Town.

According to the Muslims Group, the efforts of the Governor did not in anyway occurred to them as a surprise, but further confirmed his pedigree and track record of achievements and as someone who always stand for the truth.

“This characterized his leadership traits in all the places he served. Whatever the Governor does is always premised on fairness and equity. We have never harbour any doubt that His Excellency shall be exonerated from reproach by posterity, in-sha Allah”, Alhaji Aliyu said.

He explained that ZARMA, as a body, has been following the unfolding trend of events following the Governor’s remarks and efforts towards establishing the Sayawa Chiefdom with keen interest.

The group noted with dismay, what it described as senseless and baseless barrage of criticisms that followed the pronouncement of the Governor on the creation of the proposed chiefdom with headquarters in Tafawa Balewa.

“It is therefore, instructive against this background, for the Association at this juncture, to write and register her uppermost appreciation to the people’s governor, Sen. Bala Abdulkadir Muhammed (Kauran Daular Usumaniya) for his guided foresight, human compassion and constructive achievements that seeks to change the developmental narratives in the state, particularly the stride at transforming Bauchi metropolis to a model of a city amongst others”, the Muslims group explained.

Alhaji Aliyu stated that ZARMA’s stand is aimed at showing gratitude to the Governor for the resolve towards actualizing Sayawa chiefdom with headquarters in Tafawa Balewa town which he said is predominantly occupied by the Sayawas.

ZARMA while noting that their address is not a rejoinder to any of the critics of the move, as everyone is entitled to his or her own opinion, declared total support to Governor Mohammed for every move and efforts towards establishing the Sayawa Chiefdom.

“We are fully and wholly in support of every effort being put in place towards the realization of the dream to become a reality and we stand firm in unity and align ourselves with our brothers and sisters of Christian Sayawas in all their standpoints as regard the implementation of the decision of His Excellency, Governor Bala Abdulkadir Muhammed (Kauran Daular Usumaniya) for the actualization of the chiefdom with headquarters in Tafawa Balewa town”, ZARMA declared.

The Muslims group further said: “That we as a body of Muslim Sayawas, disassociate ourselves in all ramifications from the barrage of criticisms from all quarters against the decision of Governor Bala Muhammed to actualize the creation of Sayawa chiefdom with headquarters in Tafawa Balewa”.

They also extended profound gratitude to the Bauchi Emirate Council for the cooperation and unwavering support it rendered towards the move for the Sayawa Chiefdom.
