Yoruba Community in Bauchi applauds Tinubu over Ajayi’s appointment as DSS DG

The appointment of Mr. Adeola Oluwatosin Ajayi as the Director General (DG) of Department of State Security Service (DSS) by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has been adjudged as a very wise decision by the Yoruba Community in Bauchi.
A press statement made available to newsmen by the President – General of the Yoruba Community in Bauchi, Special Apostle Segun Awofadeji on Tuesday, said the appointment of Ajayi who before now, was serving as Assistant DG of the Service under the Office of the President to replace Yusuf Magaji Bichi is “not only well deserved but a wise one.
“His appointment did not come to us as surprise but rather his track record has shown that he is capable of handling the task. Looking at his impressive pedigree, the new DG, Ajayi is imbued with the capacity and professional stuff to inject fresh perspectives and strategies towards enhancing internal security and addressing current and emerging threats across the country”, the statement said.
“As State Director of the
Agency in Bauchi,his leadership was marked by strategic reforms, commitment and efforts to shore up the agency’s effectiveness and efficiency towards addressing contemporary security challenges”, it added.
According to Apostle Awofadeji, all eyes are now already on him to give his best in curbing the menace of what is bedeviling Nigeria as far as security issues are concern.
The Yoruba Community while reiterating confidence in Ajayi’s diligence, resilience and proactive nature, security officer with capacity and experience, added that he will excel in this national assignment by the divine Grace of Almighty God.
Awofadeji who congratulated Ajayi on behalf of the Yoruba Community in Bauchi on his appointment as the new DG DSS by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, disclosed that Mr Ajayi has been committed to strengthening the Agency’s capacity, particularly in enhancing internal security and addressing current and emerging threats.
Apostle Awofadeji further described the new DG of Service as a seasoned security officer and administrator who is well experienced, fortified with several trainings in diverse areas of security leadership, human resource development and management, among others.
