ZDA dismisses no confidence vote against Engr Galla, as Leadership tussle rages

By Samuel Luka

As the leadership tussle within the Zaar Development Association (ZDA) lingers, some states branches loyal to the National President of the Association, Engineer Isuwa Galla has dismissed the recent vote of no confidence passed on him by some branches led by the Lagos state branch chairman, Mr Danny Luka Zarmi during a town hall meeting in Tafawa Balewa local government area of Bauchi state.

As contained in a Communique of its General Congress, held on 29th June, 2024 at the ZDA permanent secretariat Tafawa Balewa, the ZDA worldwide disowns Mr Danny Luka Zarmi for an act of insorbordination.

The Communique which was signed and made available to our Correspondent by Mr Numshi Mailafiya ZDA National Secretary General, described the recent decision purporting a vote of no confidence and other allegations against him in a press release as misinforming, misguiding and capable of causing more division in Zaarland.

“Subsequently the ZDA termed the so called town hall held in ECWA Church by Mr. Zarmi as a negative effort to sabotage the almost complete process of the actualisation of Zaar Chiefdom”, the Communique alleged.

The ZDA worldwide general congress which further described the town hall meeting as an illegal gathering, noted that the Lagos branch chairman lacks powers to convene the meeting.

The Communique also said the Mr. Zarmi is unknown to ZDA National because his predecessor is yet to introduce him to the NEC/Congress in session.

“So he lacks the Impetus to make any allegation against the President let alone sell falsehood in the name of Propaganda”, the Communique stressed.

It added that “the desperation of Mr. Zarmi to assume the position of the National President have been evident the very day he started making calls to ZDA Branch chairmen to convey an evil gathering”.

According to the Secretary General, despite making the calls, Zarmi was disgraced by the absence of most of the branch chairmen.

While advising Mr Zarmi to wait for the tenure of the current ZDA President to elapse before he start campaigning, the general meeting declared that there is no vacancy in the association for now.

“Members at the Zaar General Congress also frowned at ZDA Lagos branch for their continues interest in the creation of crisis and havoc in Zaar land through creating ZDA CTC, Zaarland First Movement,True ZDA Patriot, ISOZI, Gungzaar Kingdom Ltd and Coalition of ZDA”, the Communique added.

The ZDA general congress stressed that they are aware of the ill motives behind all of the fraternities claiming to be working for Peace while in their dealings they try so hard to truncate the unity Zaar people are enjoying.

“ZDA Worldwide has never segregated against any branch or individual but since ZDA Lagos Branch lost her bid to win the seat of the President in 2017 it has been on an evil mission of distorting the reign of Engr Isuwa Galla”, the general Congress said.

The Communique also debunked allegations raised by Mr. Zarmi that Engineer Galla violated the constitution by registering illegal Branches but forgets that it was during the Late Barr. Bala Gambar’s tenure who insisted that all Local Governments Within Bauchi be given equal status with that of States as enshrined in the ZDA Constitution (Article 2 Section 6.2).

“Zarmi also alleged that President Galla has been disrespecting the Gungzar select Air commodore Ishaku Komo rtd. The GungZaar select is a leader whom our Community selected to help lead our quest for self-actualization. It was a means to the end of the struggle and not the reverse”, the general congress noted.

While declaring support for Governor Bala Mohammed led administration, the Congress pointed out that the powers to crown a substantive GungZaar lies in the hand of the State Governor.

“That’s why we are following the procedure to fulfil the requirements. What played out during the so-called ECWA 2 Tafawa Balewa town hall meeting was selfish interest and politics”, the ZDA said.
