2023: Abdul Ningi declares for Bauchi central senatorial seat

The former leader, house of representatives, Senator Abdul Ahmad Ningi has declared his intention to contest the position of Bauchi Central Senatorial District come 2023.

Abdul Ningi who served as Senator representing the area from 2011 to 2015 made the declaration during a meeting he had with stakeholders in the area on 9th April, 2022 at the Command Guest House, Bauchi.

“I summoned you all today for you to witness what I have witnessed, and to hear what I have heard because Party has no duplicate”, Ningi told stakeholders during the meeting.

Distinguish Senator Ningi who said he is fully prepared to run for the seat, noted that the move was aimed at protecting the interest of the people of not just Bauchi Central, but Northern Nigeria as a whole.

“Over the years, I have been attacked, but I keep dodging. I contested for nine times, I won seven and lose two times”, he said.

The Senatorial aspirant pointed out that the calls on him by his people is not unconnected to his track records of achievements when he served them in different capacities in the past.

“Now, the people have called me back to serve as Senator. The people cannot say we did not work, they can only say we did not share money”, he added.

“The Governor called me, sat with me and told me to contest. He asked me to construct roads from Soro to Miya, Burra to Ningi, and so on. And I positively responded to do so”, Ningi revealed.

“I will be grateful if the President comes from the North East in 2023. And my candidate is Atiku Abubakar. Though, Governor Bala Mumammad is also contesting, but my Candidate is Atiku, although, I love all of them. But whoever wins, I will be glad”, He said.

The Commissioner of information, Hon. Dayyabu Chiroma while speaking at the event, thanked the Governor Bala Mohammed for putting all efforts towards strengthening the PDP in the state.

Chiroma who noted that winning election is not a day job, maintained that the electorates need to be convince before casting their votes.

The Commissioner urged the party faithfuls to stand firm and shun money politics.

Also speaking at the event, Hon. Baffa Aliyu Misau said Senator Abdul Ningi is a tested and trusted politician who has the capacity to deliver the much desired dividends of democracy to his people.

He said, “I intended to run for the 2023 Bauchi Central Senatorial Seat. But after I found out that Sen. Abdul Ahmad Ningi is contesting, I immediately widrew my intention and decided to support him. We will put all hands on deck to make sure that we win comes 2023”, Bappah Aliyu Misau assured.

On his part, Hon. Bakoji Bobo, Member representing Misau LG in the Bauchi State House of Assembly commended senator Ningi for his selfless service to his people.

“Abdul Ningi is not just a Senator of a certain place. He is a Senator of the whole Northern region. He is a great member of the PDP, and he has done a whole lot of good things to the party”, he said.

Bakoji appealed to all members of the Peoples Democratic Party to put all hands on deck to make the party succeed.

Zainab AD Rufai, Women Leader while speaking, expressed support for the aspiration of Senator Abdul Ningi.

She said, “Abdul Ningi has full support from women especially, due to his track record in the years past.. He is tested and trusted! He is believed to do even better”.
