2023: Dogara Remain Our Only Leader, Choice, Says 44 LGA’s Coordinators

Ahead of the 2023 General elections in the state, forty four loyalist coordinators of the former speaker, Rt Honourable Yakubu Dogara member representing Bogoro, Dass and Tafawa-Balewa Constituency in the House of Assembly, have expressed their total support and solidarity to the ex-speaker in his political career.
The coordinators disclosed this during a stakeholders meeting of the All Progressive Congress (APC), held at the Community Secondary School, Zwall Village, Saturday in Tafawa-Balewa, Bauchi.
Spokesperson of the coordinators, Sama’ila Ibrahim Musa Boto said, the aims of their meeting was to renew their pledged support to the ex-speaker, Yakubu Dogara in his political career pursuing, as well as appealing to him to make public declaration about his ambition ahead of the forthcoming general elections in 2023.
He said that apart from the Clarion call for Dogara to declare his political intention, the coordinators also wished to affirm that as long as they remain in politics Dogara is their only leader in the state, Musa Boto declared.
He further disclosed that “All Dogara’s coordinators are under intense pressure from other political parties, wanting to know if Dogara is contesting in the next general elections in the state”.
Added that “It’s of the view that we want him “Dogara” to answer our Clarion call to make public declaration on his political ambition for the reason being that electioneering is nearer in the state and the nation in particular”, Musa Boto said.
Similarly, the coordinator of Dass and Bogoro local government area councils, Kaka Katanga and Zakaria Masoyi also drew the attention of the members against anything fake and unfulfilled promises from the opposition party that could make them change their minds.

Corroborating, women coordinator Dass local government, Amina Sale said: “Despite that this is the first meeting of the coordinators from their long vocation, the coordinators turn-out of the coordinator’s have shown their high solidarity and commented to the ex-speaker’s political doctrine, against any humiliation or treat”.
She said: “We stand firm and ever ready to go to any length with the former speaker in his political struggles in the state and beyond”, she said.
Also, speaking, the coordinator Tafawa-Balewa local government, Mrs Rifkatu Ishaya, said “We’re with Dogara spiritually, no political ambition or challenges will separate us, we still believed in his leadership style in the state and the county at large”.
She said: “We’re not going to be like other ungrateful people who benefited so much from the Dogara’s scholarships and empowerment schemes, and now they betrayed and forgotten what the former speaker did to their sons and daughters in the area”.
The forty four coordinators were drawn from the three local government area councils that made up the Constituency with 2 local government coordinators each, and Bogoro 11, Dass 11, while 12 from Tafawa Balewa respectively.
