2023: Group calls for violence-free, campaigns in Bauchi

Ahead of the 2023 general elections, a group known as Kaura Ambassadors Network in Bauchi state has called for violence-free campaigns across the state.
Speaking during the meeting of the group on Friday in Bauchi, its Director General, Mr Muslim Maigari advocated for peaceful and rancor free campaigns in the state.
He said the meeting was aimed at making moves to put in place structures across the 20 local government areas of Bauchi state that would manage healthy campaigns.
According to him, the structures would include Ward, local government and state levels for elections and campaigns management.
Mr. Muslim further explained that the meeting is intended to work out modalities that would promote violence free campaigns in the state.
The DG who is also the National leader of People Democratic Party (PDP) Network appreciated the Independent National Electoral commission for introducing technology in the electioneering process.
“We appreciate the integration of technology into the conduct and management of the 2023 elections.
“We also want to be abreasing our members on the way and manner of tracking the elections using our innovation,” he said
The DG reiterated the commitment of the Network to seek for support and popularize the campaign of Gov Bala Mohammed who is seeking election of second term and all PDP candidates top to bottom.
Muslim explained that the group would also canvas 2 Million votes that would be brought down to table as Part of campaign support to Kaura’s re-election bid.
He pointed out that the group has already strategized on how to mobilise people by unveiling the endorsement registered of 5,422 polling units in the state.
“Through that we will be able to generate endorsements registered to election time,” Muslim said.
He urged the citizens of Bauchi state to accord Bala Mohammed another chance considering his laudable achievements on education, health, water, infrastructural development among others.
Also speaking, Mr Ibrahim Sani, state Coordinator of the Network urged political actors to shun unhealthy actions and embrace actions that will ensure that campaigns are devoid of negative trends.
He called on the citizens to look beyond the antics of political actors and probe campaign promises of those seeking elective offices.
