Youth group appreciates President Tinubu’s re-engagement of Goni Alkali as NEDC boss

An apolitical group, North East Youths Discussion Cycle (NEYDC) has expressed gratitude to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for re-appointing Mohammed Alkali Goni to continue in office as the Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer (MD/CEO) of the North East Development Commission (NECDC).
The youth group which made this known while addressing a press conference yesterday, expressed optimisms that the re-engagement of Goni Alkali as the NEDC head will bring more development to the subregion.
Recall that President Bola Tinubu on Wednesday forwarded the name of Goni Alkali to the Senate for confirmation alongside other members of the Board of the NEDC.
The Chairman of North East Youths Discussion Cycle, Prince Mohammed Sani Hassan therefore commended the President for the reappointment.
“The reappointment of Mohammed G Alkali did not came to us as a surprise, we have been expecting this for quite a long time”, he said.
According to him Sani Hassan, Alkali has done so much to the development of North East region.
“We are very much grateful for his reappointment. We are very much sure he will do more to the development of our Zone. We are very much proud of him”, the youth group said.
“This is another face of development in the North East, we call on all Youths and students group in North East to show their support to the tremendous development of North East Development Commission under the leadership of Mohammed G Alkali”, Sani said.
“We shall organize an enlightenment program across the six states of North East for Youths leaders and students leaders to understand much about the responsibilities and achievements of the North-East Development Commission,” he added.
