Do not serve as tools for destruction – North-East coalition tells youths

Nigerian youth and students have been urged never to avail themselves as ready-made tools for destruction by some bad politicians who are bent on destroying the President Bola Ahmed Tinubu led All Progressives Congress (APC) administration.

The North East Collation of Tinubu/Kashim (Support Groups) which made the call on Wednesday, also condemned the ongoing nationwide protest tagged #EndBadGovernmentinNigeria which has turned violent in some parts of the country.

Speaking to newsmen shortly after a Townhall meeting with Youths and Students on the dangers of violent protests, the DG of the group Hon. Yazid Inuwa MK Bauchi, called for nationwide prayers and dialogue.

According to him, the lingering nationwide protests that are accompanied by violence across some Northeastern states have raised a serious concern to the North-East Coalition of Tinubu/Kashim Support Groups.

He said, as a result, the leadership of the group deems it incumbent to come up with a Town-Hall Meeting to sensitize the Youths and Students on the imminent dangers of engaging in violent protests.

He explained that basically, the meeting was also aimed at highlighting the incumbent need for a national dialogue, and fervent prayers, as best solution to immediate problems.

The DG noted that the platform found some prominent sons of the soil as worthy ambassadors of the zone who can lead the Youths and students through dialogue and prayer seasons.

“This medium serves as preferable juncture to award these distinguished personalities for their selfless services in various fields of human endeavors,” he added.

Yazid Inuwa added that, “These prominent sons of Bauchi state that deserves these meritorious service awards are: Prof. Dr. Ali Pate, Minister of Health and Social Welfare to be awarded with the meritorious award for his ‘Healthcare and Social Service’ delivery to the nation.

Also recognised is Amb. Yusuf Maitama Tuggar, Minister of Foreign Affairs who received the Icon of Hope’ award for championing the course of President Bola Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda.

The Coalition also recognized Malam Musa Umar Yashi, Executive Director, Humanitarian Affairs, North-East Development Commission (NEDC) for his humanitarian service delivery across the Six Northeastern states of Adamawa, Yobe, Borno, Gombe, Taraba, and Bauchi.
