Dambam LG Chairman swears-in deputy, 16 council members, urges dedication to duty

The Newly elected Executive Chairman of Dambam local government area of Bauchi state, Hon Yakubu Garba Tela has sworn-in his deputy alongside 16 elected Councillors at the local government Secretariat on Sunday.
Addressing the deputy chairman and the council members, Hon Tela expressed gratitude to the people of Dambam for giving him the mandate.
The chairman who further thanked party loyalists and stakeholders for the support, appealed for special prayer and constructive advice and guidance from technocrats and members of the public.
Tela assured the people of Dambam local Government of his commitment towards paying attention to education, health, welfare and agriculture in order to help the people at the grassroot.
In his goodwill message, the member representing Dambam in the Bauchi state house of assembly, Hon, Ahmed Garba commended the effort of Governor Bala Mohammed of the state and stakeholders of Dambam local Government for ensuring the smooth conduct of the LG elections.
He therefore, advised the Local government Chairman and his cabinet members to unite and be responsible in order to bring dividends of democracy to the good people of Dambam.
Also speaking, the Chairman of the PDP in Dambam, Alhaji Osama Dagauda congratulated his members for winning the local Government chairman seat and all the sixteen Councillorship seats.
“Our party is a project party, make sure you sit down and understand yourselves for the benefit of Dambam local Government as you come from one party”, he further advised.
Our Correspondent gathered that Hon Yakubu Garba Tela served as the staff of Dambam Local government, from junior staff to the highest office.
He attained the position of Head of administration (HOA) in Dambam local government council before he ventured into politics.
Present during the swearing in ceremony were, member representing Dambam LG in the Bauchi state assembly, party chairman, head of administration of the local Government and Alhaji Salisu Yahaya Jalam, among others.
