Islamic Group offers free eye treatment in Kaduna

By Muhammad Umar Shehu

An Islamic group, Leen Charity Organisation has offered free eye treatment to hundreds of less privileged people in Kaduna state.

The founder of the organization, Abdulaziz Umar Abubakar while addressing the beneficiaries, said the group is in the habit of helping people out of their life challenges irrespective of religious differences.

According him, the organisation had realised that most people with eye problems could not afford the cost of treatment, hence the need to help them.

He said those with serious eye conditions like cataract were referred to the National eye Centre Kaduna.

“Our aim is to make this category of people happy because many cannot afford the cost of the treatment”, Abubakar said.

He added that the organisation has helped many people in Kaduna, Abuja and Adamawa, especially orphans during the Eid festivals.

Abubakar however, called on wealthy individuals to support the organisation for the sake of Allah so that more people can be assisted.

Some of the beneficiaries who spoke to Baushe Daily Times, thanked the organization for the gesture, praying God to reward them abundantly.
