We have fortified the hospital premises and fought desertification – Medical Director, FMC Nguru

The Medical Director of Federal Medical Centre (FMC) Nguru, Dr. Abubakar Musa has disclosed that, in order to secure the hospital, the Management has put in place more secured perimeter fencing, including razor fence.
Dr. Musa who was speaking in an exclusive interview with our Corresspondent in his office yesterday said the fence has prevented intruders from jumping into the premises of the medical facility.
“We tried to secure the premises by ensuring that we have more secured perimeter fencing including razor fence because people were jumping the wall from the neighbourhood as a short cut into the center. So, we have been able to do that”, he said.
According to the Medical Director, the Management of the hospital has planted over 40 thousand trees around flowers within the hospital.
“We continued on planting trees, when you go on Google map to look at the map of Nguru, you will easily identify the boundaries of our hospital as it has been clearly demarcated by the trees we have planted. In addition we had also planted flowers and both combined is over 40,000 he noted.
Dr. Musa who said the hospital Management has not only planted the tree and flowers but had ensured that they were nurtured for the past 12 years.
