FUHSA and FMC Azare conducts 5-day free Medical outreach in Katagum Emirate

Federal University of Health Sciences Azare (FUHSA) has in collaboration with the Federal Medical Centre (FMC) Azare, carried out a successful five-day free medical outreach within Katagum emirate of Bauchi state.

Our correspondent reports that the free medical outreach covered medical conditions like dental care, diabetes, hypertension, and cervical cancer screening.

This commendable initiative integrated into the second matriculation exercise of the university was being carried out as part of community coporate social responsibility.

The gesture reflects a strong commitment to the well-being of the less privileged residents of Katagum metropolis.

The active support by Medical Director of the FMC, Dr. Dauda Abubakar Katagum and the positive response from His Royal Highness, Dr. Umar Faruq II, the Emir of Katagum underscores the importance of such events for community health.

In his comment, the Emir expressed gratitude to the management of both institutions for demonstrating collaborative efforts in coordinating the outreach.
