Misau Unique Association donates 400 exercise books, 100 school bags to orphans

In its quest to put smiles on the faces of orphans and other less privileged children, a group known as Misau Unique Association has donated 400 Customized Exercise Books to the pupils of the Nana Khadija Orphan Children school.
The Chairman of the association, Abdullahi Abubakar who made this known in a press release on Wednesday, added that over 100 school bags were also donated to the school.
“We selected the above named school for obvious reasons. First of all, the school was 100% or there about, an orphanage school”, he said.
“We therefore, decided to render our little assistance, which is in line with the Aims and Objectives of our Association.
The Association’s Chairman further explained that the donation of the school materials were meant to support and encourage the school management in the important sacrifice they are making in the society.
He prayed that Allah (SWT) can reward them abundantly.
According to him, the association also appreciated the effort made by those who established the school for no any other reason than to assist these poor kids.
Abdullahi Abubakar who said that the Misau Unique Association has been in existence for almost two decades, noted that it was not as functional as it ought to be until recently.
“About four years ago or there about, we decided to revive the Association in order to render our assistance to the community we are living in and Misau Local Government and beyond in a Unique way”, the Association’s Chairman stated.
He said under the Leadership of the immediate past Chairman of the Association, Dr. Adamu Idris and his team, the association succeeded in reviving its activities to its present status.
“This was achieved with the elderly advises and support from our trustees which include Barr. Khalil Abdullahi, Dr. Auwal Ibrahim Amba, Alh. Mohammed Naiya among others”, Abubakar pointed out.
He recalled that the Association was at that time registered with both State, Local Government and finally registered as a corporate body by the Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC) in May 2021.
“When we had a leadership change last year (2021) and I (Abdullahi Abubakar) was elected to lead the team , I found the work easy as the foundation had already been laid for us to excel”, the Chairman said.
Abdullahi Abubakar said that the leadership of the association under his care decided to set the ball rolling by bringing some initiatives to render assistance to the less privileged, particularly in the areas of Education and Health.
He said that the little monthly dues the association is generating from members has remained the only source of revenue use in running its affairs.
The association called on other Associations and community members to collectively and individually support the less privileged in their midst.
He said that such responsibilities should not be left in the hands of Government alone.
“The initiators of this school have proven to be mothers, and they should therefore be considered as role models and should be encouraged by all of us”, he further noted.
