In Bauchi, PDP campaign cut across board – Gov Bala’s political adviser, Faggo

The Political Adviser to Governor Bala Mohammed of Bauchi state, Rt. Hon. Abubakar Ahmed Faggo has disclosed that the Peoples Democratic Party PDP in the state remains one indivisible entity that is poised to winning elections in 2023.

Faggo who made this known in an interview with our Corresspondent yesterday, assured that the party will continue to woo voters in order to get votes that can return all the party’s candidates from top to bottom elected.

Hon. Faggo who described the PDP as a collection of technocrats and not strange bed fellows like other parties, noted that the party does not subscribe to selective campaigns.

“In PDP, there is nothing like ‘I will vote for this and that and not vote for that and this’, every candidate of the PDP is for the PDP and no one is going to be rejected, they are our own and we are going to vote for them without any discrimination”, Hon. Faggo assured.

The Governor’s Political Adviser who insisted that the PDP does not subscribe to such confusion, pointed out that the party will not allow it to happen.

“That’s is why we are saying from top to bottom, from Atiku down to house of assembly candidates. If councilors were included in the election, PDP would have voted for all its candidates from President to councilors”, he said.

According to him, as campaigns intensify ahead the February and March general elections in Nigeria, the party in Bauchi is working hard to see that all its candidates emerge victorious.

He said, in Bauchi state, the ruling Peoples Democratic Party PDP is looking up to the masses for victory.

Rt. Hon Faggo added that the party has done everything possible to ensure that every party member is been carried along in its affairs.

“We’ve gone far in the aspect of campaigning, we in PDP Bauchi are not boastful that we are the ruling party and such that we wouldn’t campaign. PDP is a party that knows what is expected to be done, it is focused and resolute in doing things”, he said.

He explained that the party knowing fully the importance of voters in deciding who leads them, has been going round all the political wards in the state to solicit for votes.

Hon. Faggo said, “it is not the habit of a PDP member to be boastful, we are always humble because we have the people on our side, that is why we started our campaign from the grassroot”.

The Governor’s political Adviser who noted that the Peoples Democratic Party began campaigning for its house of assembly candidates and representatives members from the ward level, added that the second leg of the campaign was that of the senatorial candidates in which it was divided into three senatorial districts.

Commenting on the recent appointment of LG caretaker Committee chairmen and councilors, Faggo said that the decision came following the expiration of tenure of the elected ones.

“The Governor was mindful of so many things in appointing them, there was consultations in order to carry everyone along”, he said.

He said in order to have everyone on board, the former Chairmen are been carried along in the affairs of governance in the state to enable them contribute towards the victory of the PDP in 2023.

Faggo who commended Governor Bala Mohammed for the tremendous successes recorded since assumption of office in 2019, urged the people of Bauchi state to vote for the PDP from top to bottom in order to witness more dividends of democracy.
