ABCIN Chairmanship contestant, Imran promises to bridge regional gap if voted

The Badminton Club Chairmanship contestant for the Association of Badminton Clubs in Nigeria (ABCIN), Imran Usman Jibrin, Dan Makwayo Nasarawa has promised to bridge the existing gap between the North and Southern Badminton Clubs in the country if elected.
Jibrin who stated this in an interview with our Correspondent on Wednesday, pledged to do everything possible toward bridging the gap between the North and South Badminton Clubs through better engagement and collaboration.
According to Jibrin, a member of the Arewa Badminton team, breeding of activities through engagement of a strong Technical Team that will ensure training and getting the best talents in the Actives will form part of his initiative to unite the regions.
Other efforts he will make according to him are, organising ABCIN National Festival competition at least once every year and creating a better collaboration between the BFN and ABCIN to promote the game of Badminton.
Jibrin further explained that having a functional office Secretariat for ABCIN to ease operation, better access and finding information as well as creating ABCIN website and other official social media platforms/handles for more effective and efficient dissemination of information would be made for that purpose.
He further pledged to ensure that ABCIN joins and participate in the World Veteran Championship before the end of his tenure.
He added that a lot of efforts would be intensified to encourage the organising of both inter and intra States competitions among clubs in Nigeria to boost performance and take Badminton to a higher level.
“I believe I can contribute a lot by introducing new ideas to the Association and bringing more bond, sanity and commitment among the clubs and players”, he said.
Jibrin also expressed readiness to do his best in taking the game of Badminton to a higher level.
