Arewa group passes vote of confidence on works’ minister Umahi

A group under the umbrella of Arewa Advocates for Good Governance (AAGG) has passed a vote of confidence on the Honorable minister of works, Senator David Nweze Umahi for his outstanding performance in the President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s cabinet.

The National Chairman of the group, Alhaji Jamilu Mato who stated this while addressing a press conference in Bauchi on Thursday, said the press conference was part of the series of events across the Northern region to applaud the minister’s commitment towards transforming Nigeria’s infrastructure landscape, particularly in the North-East.

The group pointed out that under Umahi’s stewardship, the Federal ministry of Works has witnessed a paradigm shift towards excellence and inclusivity due to his dedication to the “Renewed Hope” agenda of President Tinubu.

The group observed that the minister’s pioneering efforts in the construction of concrete roads across Nigeria is highly commendable.

They added that the innovative approach has not only enhanced durability of the roads but also signifies a departure from traditional methods, ensuring quality infrastructure for generations to come.

The Leader of the AAGG maintained that the commitment of the minister to visiting every corner of Nigeria to assess road conditions, demonstrates his hands-on approach and genuine concern for the well-being of all Nigerians.

AAGG expressed
firm believe that the minister’s vision and dedication will yield tangible results, particularly for the people of the North-East.

“His commitment to working for all, regardless of religion or tribe, underscores
his inclusive approach to governance, which aligns perfectly with our values as a nation”, the group stated.

Alhaji Mato while commending President Tinubu’s pivotal role in Nation building, noted that his visionary leadership and commitment to the betterment of Nigeria have set the stage for
transformative change.

According to the group, the President’s “Renewed Hope” agenda serves as a beacon of inspiration, guiding the the Nation towards a future filled with promise and prosperity.

The group expressed
gratitude to President Tinubu for appointing Senator David Umahi,
to spearhead the activities of the Federal Ministry of Works, adding that the measure reflects the President’s steadfast dedication to excellence and inclusivity.

Mato further said that the President’s tireless efforts to promote national unity and foster inclusive governance have
paved the way for a brighter future for all Nigerians.

Alhaji Mato said despite the current economic challenges, the group is encouraged by President Tinubu’s leadership and determination to build
a Nigeria where every citizen can thrive.

They group called on the Muslims across the country to use the Ramadan period and pray for the minister and the the President
to succeed in their visionary leadership.

They announced that in coming days, they will gather in Kaduna to honor the exemplary leadership of Umahi before convening in Abuja to appreciate the President.
