Bauchi, 5 other states to benefit from $117 million education grant – Gov Bala

Bauchi state Governor, senator Bala Mohammed has expressed delight that the state is among the six states of Nigeria selected to benefit from a 117 million dollars grant to boost the education Sector.
The Governor who made this known in his Facebook page Tuesday, said he was in attendance during the official inauguration ceremony of the Compact Development Workshop for the System Transformation Grant (STG), an initiative under the Global Partnership for Education (GPE).
“Today, I attended the official inauguration of the Compact Development Workshop for the System Transformation Grant (STG), an initiative under the Global Partnership for Education (GPE)”, the Governor said.
According to him, “this significant grant, amounting to $117 million, is allocated to Nigeria by the GPE”.
He said following rigorous shortlisting process, six states, including Kebbi, Abia, Kwara, Akwa Ibom, Lagos and his state, Bauchi were chosen to benefit from the grant.
The Governor pointed out that the workshop which commenced yesterday 15th January is going to wrapped up on 17th, 2023.
Bala Mohammed explained that the workshop will outline the implementation strategies of the grant and disseminate other crucial information to the selected states.
“As the Governor of Bauchi, I am honoured to be part of this pivotal event, set to impact our education system significantly”, the Governor disclosed.
