Bauchi Emir want Gov Bala sustain provision of fertilizer to farmers

The emir of Bauchi, Alhaji Dr. Rilwanu Sulaiman Adamu has appealed to Governor Bala Mohammed not to relent in his untiring effort towards provision of fertilizer and other farming inputs to farmers in the state.

Dr. Rilwanu who was speaking when he paid a Sallah homage to the governor at the government house on Tuesday, commended him for executing developmental projects that have direct bearings in the lives of the citizens.

“We give thanks to Almighty Allah for bringing us to this day that is full of blessings and also giving us the opportunity to pay this visit to the governor”, he said.

“Like you have seen, this year’s farming season has begun and we are happy with your Government’s preparations towards provision of fertilizer and other farming inputs to our farmers at a subsidized rate”, the emir said.

Dr. Rilwanu thanked the governor for providing exotic cars to all the district heads across the state as requested during his Sallah homage last year, apart from renovating their palaces.

The emir while expressing gratitude to Allah for helping the Muslim faithfuls to start and complete this year’s Ramadan fasting period successfully, reiterated the loyalty and support of his emirate to the present administration in the state.

“Your Excellency, the Governor, I want to on behalf of the Bauchi emirate, wish you well as you continue to pilot the affairs of our dear state. I assure you of our unflinching support and obedience for the progress of our state”, he said.

The emir prayed God to further boost the economy of Bauchi state in such a way that will enable the governor continue with the good works he is doing.

The emir also commended the governor for ensuring the maintenance of peace, provision of affordable healthcare delivery, social amenities, among other dividends of democracy across the state.

The emir pleaded with the Governor to just just like he is doing in Alkaleri local government area, construct markets in Mararraban Liman Katagum, Durum town, Magaman Gumau, Soro town, Tudun Fulani, Nabordo and Darazo town that will take traders off the roads to ease movements.

While responding, Governor Bala Mohammed attributed his achievements to the support he is getting from the emir, other traditional rulers and the entire people of Bauchi state.

He said, already, his administration has made provision for fertilizer and other farming inputs that will soon be made available to farmers for this year’s farming season.

The governor while thanking the emir and the entire people of Bauchi state for supporting his administration, said suc support has spurred him not to do anything that will shortchange the people of the state.

“We have not relented in our efforts to ensuring that we have fulfilled the pledges we made, although there are few others waiting, but we have fulfilled at least 80 percent, in the area of road construction, health care delivery, education as well as empowering the citizens”, Bala said.

“Today in Bauchi, we don’t have problems of salaries, everybody is been paid his salary and pension, local governments have been given their autonomy, they are working tirelessly, they are the ones renovating houses of our district heads”, he said.

The governor assured that before the end of his administration, houses of emirs in the state would be renovated to standard.
