Bauchi NUJ Commends Performance Of The Government house Press Crew

The Bauchi state Council of the Nigeria Union of Journalists NUJ has commended the tireless effort of the Bauchi government house press crew towards promoting the policies and programs of the current administration. 

The chairman of the NUJ Bauchi state Council, Comrade Umar Sa’idu, made the commendation during a courtesy visit to the Government house press crew held at the Press Gallery Government house. 

Comrade Umar Sa’idu said the essence of the visit was to thank the government house press crew for their support to the council before, during and after the election which was conducted last year and also to seek their advice. 

While describing journalists as the fourth estate of the rhyme, they charge the members of the NUJ to work within the ambit of the law in order to move the journalism profession forward. 

The Chairman said the council is committed to organizing capacity building training to boost the performance of its members.

Responding on behalf of the government house press crew, the Vice Chairman of the crew, Isyaka Isma’il Wunti, commended the state council of NUJ for the visit, while promising to work in synergy with a view to ensuring sanity in the journalism profession. 

Isyaka Wunti also appealed to the council to consider selection of the crew members for training with a view to boosting their capacity.
