Bauchi to enact Child Protection Law 2022

Governor Bala Mohammed of Bauchi state has forwarded for consideration, a draft bill to the state assembly for the enactment of Child Protection Law 2022.

This was contained in a summary of the assembly’s Wednesday plenary presided over by the speaker, Rt. Hon Abubakar Suleiman.

The summary of the plenary which was compiled and made available to newsmen by the Spokesperson of the speaker, Comrade Abdul Ahmad Burra, also said, a report of the joint House Committee on Works and Transport and Rural Development on a Bill for a Law to establish Bauchi State Rural Access Roads Authority (RARA) 2022 was laid before the house by Hon. Yusuf Muhammad Bako (Pali Constituency).

The summary of the plenary also indicated that a report of the joint House Committee on Works and Transport and Rural Development on a Bill for a law to establish Bauchi State Road Fund and Bauchi State Road Fund Board 2022 was laid by Hon. Yusuf Muhammad Bako (Pali Constituency).

According to Burra, the Honourable House debated on the two reports and directed the joint Committee to rework on them with a view to addressing all grey areas.

The spokesperson of the speaker said that the Committee was given one week to report back.
