Bauchi Urban Water Corporation Pledges No Distruption In Water Supply

The new Board Chairman of the Bauchi State Urban Water and Sewerage Corporation, Yayanuwa Sarki Zainabari on Thursday said the ultimate goal of the present administration of Governor Bala Mohammed is to serve the people of the state by ensuring that every household has access to clean and safe water.

In his acceptance speech shortly after the inauguration of the new Board of the corporation by the Commissioner for Water Resources, Abdulrazaq Nuhu Zaki, Zainabari acknowledged that with the guidance of the governor, the corporation has witnessed a remarkable transformation in the provision of safe and constant water supply.

He noted that Governor Bala Mohammed administration’s huge investment in the water sector has been instrumental in improving the lives of the people as his continued support and belief in the corporation have paved the way for numerous initiatives and infrastructure projects that have greatly enhanced its capabilities.

The Board chairman said his team will work with relevant stakeholders in the water sector in a bid to ensuring no disruption in water supply as they will remain focused, proactive, and innovative in their approaches to achieve the desired objectives.

“I would like to express my deepest appreciation to our amiable Governor, His Excellency, Sen. Bala Abdulkadir Mohammed, the Executive Governor of Bauchi State Governor alongside other personalities for entrusting us with this crucial role. His Excellency’s faith in my abilities is both humbling and inspiring. I am fully aware of the immense responsibility that comes with this position, and I pledge to work tirelessly to justify your confidence in me.

“I want to also extend my appreciation to the Ministry of Water Resources headed by a seasoned politician, Hon. Abdulrazaq Nuhu Zaki for the relentless efforts in ensuring the provision of safe and reliable water services to our citizens. Our collaboration with the ministry will be vital in achieving our objectives and addressing the challenges facing our water sector.”

Zainabari used the medium to applauded Governor Bala Mohammed for his recent public apology on the current challenges in the water supply which shows that he is a leader for his people, and commended his visionary leadership and unwavering commitment to the development of the water sector in the state.

On his part, the Commissioner for Water Resources, Abdulrazaq Nuhu Zaki, congratulated the inaugurated board members and urged them to justify the confidence reposed in them.
