CNNC visits scene of recent Warji crisis, urges Nigerians to pray for peace and unity

The Bauchi State chapter Chairman of Congress of Northern Nigeria Christians (CNNC), Dr. Timothy Ishaya Gwami has called on Nigerians to remain steadfast and continue to pray for peace and unity of the country.

DR. Timothy Ishaya Gwami gave the charge when led members of the group on a sympathy visit to the victims of recent clash in Warji local government area of Bauchi state.

The leader of the group extended his heartfelt sympathy to the affected families over the incident on behalf of the National President of the group, urging them to put all their trust in God for his comfort.

Dr. Timothy who described peace as a priceless thing that is non-negotiable, said peace is a necessary requirements for the development of every society.

He therefore, charged stakeholders in the area to compliment the effort of the State Governor, Senator Bala Muhammed in sustaining the already existing peace in the state.

In his contribution during the visit, State Adviser of the group, Captain Dauda Maishanu (Retired), said they were in Warji, on a state wide tour to create awareness towards fostering unity and peace across the state.

Captain Dauda pointed out that the society can only achieve meaningful progress and development if the citizens embraces one another, irrespective of their religious affiliations.

While condemning the ugly incident, the state adviser appealed to government at all levels to investigate the root cause of the crisis for proper action.

He appealed to the victims and their families to embrace the spirit of forgiveness and pray God to meet their needs.
