The North-East Coalition of CSOs (NECCSO) has passed a vote of confidence in Malam Musa Umar Yashi, the Executive Director, Humanitarian Affairs, North-East Development Commission (NEDC).
This is coming sequel to a sponsored attempt by some cheaply hired media scum, intended at smear the age-long, hard-earned, and enviable good-name and dossier of Malam Musa Yashi.
The convener of the NECCSO, Yazid Inuwa Malamin Kasuwa in a press release issued to journalists in Bauchi yesterday, reaffirmed that, the groups’ primary objective of passing the vote of confidence in Musa Yashi is not unconnected with his midas touch in the humanitarian affairs directorate of the NEDC.
The coalition said, “As the Executive Director of Humanitarian Affairs of the NEDC, Malam Musa Yashi extends oliver branch to every nook and cranny of the entire seven member states of the North-East.”
According to the group, following the gradual returning of peace to the region, Malam Musa Yashi continued with the Commission’s resettlement, reconstruction and revamping the economy of the zone.
Malamin Kasuwa added that, “And perhaps the Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) within the region, in the sideline of resettlement process of the Commission, are presently receiving the most required humanitarian aid, in form of food and non-food items, under close supervision of the Commission’s Humanitarian Affairs Executive Director, Malam Musa Yashi.”
The group said under the country’s current economic and social turbulence, resulting from the aftereffect of fuel subsidy removal, relief materials in the forms of food and non-food essential commodities are evenly distributed across the seven North-Eastern member states of NEDC, Adamawa, Bauchi, Borno, Taraba and Yobe, respectively with the efforts of Musa Yashi.
