CRC-N Wukari Celebrate 100th Years of Existence In Taraba

The Christian Reformed Church-Nigeria CRC-N Wukari Local Church Council has celebrated its 100 years of existence.

The centennial celebration which featured the launching of the history book of the Church was held last Saturday 30th October 2021, at the St. Mary’s Primary School in Wukari LGA of Taraba State.

Our Correspondent reports that the event drew dignitaries from far and near who witnessed the celebration of God’s grace upon the Church.

Speaking at the occasion, the President of CRC-N Rev. Dr. Caleb Ahima who is also the Vice President of CAN in Nigeria paid tribute to the early missionaries who brought the gospel to the area that led to the establishment of the Church.

He said Wukari was once living in darkness as paganism was the common practice until the penetration of the gospel, describing the 100th anniversary of the church as a testimony of the grace of God.

According to Ahima, the gospel came along with a lot of blessings which has opened up the town to witness a lot of transformation and development in several spheres of life.

The Clergy called on the church to use the centennial program to plan for yet another 100 years of exploitation, to hand down the faith to the next generation.

Reviewing the book “History of CRC-N Wukari” the CAN Chairman Wukari LGA, Rev. Bulus Gain, described it as a masterpiece that contains a history of development.

He recommended the book to all and sundry, adding that it contained the history of the gospel in Nigeria.

There were goodwill messages from the special guest of honor and dignitaries at the occasion who all commended CRC-N LCC Wukari for standing tall in the last 100 years.

They called on the church to remain resolute on the onerous talk of the gospel.
