Dambam District Head urges subjects to embrace modern farming techniques

The District head of Dambam, Dambam local government area of Bauchi state, Alhaji Bappah Musa Sulaiman has advised his subjects to embrace modern farming techniques in order to witness increase in food production.
The traditional head who was speaking to our Corresspondent in an interview recently, said Dambam people have been known over the years for their peaceful disposition.
The district head who pledged to ensure that issues affecting his people are always tabled before the relevant authorities for solution, called on his subjects to continue to pay more attention to farming.
“Our people are predominantly farmers, 80 out of 100 percent are farmers. Farming is what we all inherited from our forebears and I urge my people not to joke with it”, the district head appealed.
He urged farmers to deploy the use of modern farming techniques for them to have more yields.
“The farmers need to acquire knowledge in modern farming techniques, we have seen the importance of using knowledge in farming, for instance, you have to when and how to apply fertilizer and the type of fertilizer suitable for a particular type of crop. If you use knowledge, you will witness positive changes”, he added.
Alhaji Bappah Musa Sulaiman while commending the people of Dambam for their loyalty and support, assured that he will continue to be just and fair to them in the discharge of his responsibilities.
“I really want to appreciate my people for the support and loyalty, and on my part, I am assuring them that I will continue to ensure justice and fairness to all as I continue to preside over them in my capacity as the District head”, he vowed.
Alhaji Bappah who applauded Governor Bala Mohammed for executing developmental projects across the state, said that the Governor is someone who value the traditional institution so much.
“We appreciate God for giving us His Excellency, Senator Bala Mohammed as a governor. He knows the value of traditional institution, he is taking care of us, he is renovating our houses, he has given us cars. In fact the last time district heads were given vehicles was during Governor Mu’azu, that about 18 years ago”, the district head recalled.
