Dambam District Head, Waziri call for sustenance of Ramadan lessons

As Muslim faithfuls completed this year’s Ramadan fast with the celebration of Eid-el fitr, the District Head of Dambam, Alhaji Idris Bappah Musa and the Wazirin Dambam, Alhaji Ahmad Umar Abdullahi have called on the faithfuls to ensure that the lessons learned are sustained and replicated in their daily lives.
Speaking separately in an interview with our Corresspondent yesterday, the traditional leaders expressed gratitude to Allah for making it possible for the Muslims to witness yet another successful Ramadan period and a hitch-free Eid -el fitr celebration.
“We give thanks to Almighty Allah for seeing us through the Ramadan period and Sallah festivity. Thank God we had a hitch-free Sallah and everything went well”, the district head said.
The District Head who advised that the Muslims should not rely only on Ramadan period for sermons and Tafsir, added that the same spirit need to be continued even after the Ramadan.
Alhaji Idris Bappah Musa Sulaiman who called on the Muslim faithfuls to put the lessons learned during the Ramadan to practice, urged them to love one another, be truthful and above, all obey the words of Allah in whatever they do.
He commended Governor Bala Mohammed of Bauchi state for ensuring good governance since assumption of office in 2019, praying that Allah see him through in his second tenure.
The District Head while calling on the people of Dambam local government to pay attention to farming activities in order to have available food on their tables, advised them to adhere to predictions concerning rainy season from the Nigerian Meteorological Agency (NIMET).
“As we face this year’s farming season, I enjoin the people to listen and adhere to predictions from the authorities on whether they should plant early or delay a little bit. We have to be educated on this by listening to their advises”, he added.
Commenting on the upcoming census, the District Head urged the people of Dambam local government area and Bauchi state as a whole to avail themselves during the exercise.
On his part, the Wazirin Dambam, Alhaji Ahmad Umar Abdullahi, called on the Muslim faithfuls to make good use of the lessons they learned during the fasting period.
He said, during the fasting period, the faithfuls did away with many things while series of religious lessons were taught for believers to embrace.
The Wazirin Dambam also enjoined the Muslims to ensure that the good things they did during Ramadan and the ones they abstained from is sustained.
“Let us make use of what we learned, let us not feel that because the Ramadan period is over, we should go back to our past behavior”, he said.
The traditional leader who called on the youth to despite the challenges of unemployment, continue to be law abiding, obey their parents in order to gain favor from Allah.
